The fall of the mighty dollar!

The fall of the mighty dollar

Wall Street in recession or in depression?

The next generation of hostile takeovers - Cyberwar

Where are you now Gordon Gecko?

The Great depression during the 20's!

Statue of Liberty, a symbol for our worlds legacy

Looking for work?

The American economy is in the shite so to say, and some people call it recession and some people are starting to call it depression.

The mortgage crises and credit crunch in America and United Kingdom is taking it's toll on the Global market as we speak. There is anxiety and sadness and panic spreading across Wall street and is starting to look alot like the "Great depression" in the twenties.
Now you might have heard that one of the worlds largest private investment banks has filed for bankruptcy, I am of course talking about the Lehman brothers an 156 year old institution and one of the most prestigious investment firms in the world.
Merrill Lynch & Company can count them self lucky they where bought by Bank of America.

This might not effect "you" but you are wrong and I'm speaking to the people living in Europe and it most certainly will. This has a huge impact on the global economy and since most of the worlds stock exchange is feeding of the boost from the dollar to the sterling and obviously it will also have an effect on the Euro.

Energy costs are up, unemployment rising trough the roof and people can't coop with their mortgages. The war in Iraq has cost the American people and the British government and their people huge amounts in human life's and in financial resources.

The 9/11 effect is working it's force as we speak, and it saddens me that the rest of Europe has not supported England and America in troops and financial aid "more" since this might have ended this hopeless war in Iraq. I hope the people of Iraq can return one day and build up there country and live in a democracy and create a solid infrastructure so it can be a beautiful booming country and culture as it was a very long time ago.

I am not a big believer in war I think that people have a tendencies to reach for the gun more then for a kind word. Of course it easy to say make love and not war but it's harder to practice it in real life. No matter what happens this has had a huge impact and the winners at least financially in this whole ordeal are the Asians like China and Middle East like for example Saudi Arabia, Dubai,Qatar and so on.

I hope one day that people begin respecting each other no matter what religion, Muslims, Jews and Christians should try to respect and accept that we are all Gods creatures and as long as we do good instead of bad we all deserve a chance to live in peace and harmony and accept our differences.

Today if you like to invade an other country you really don't have to fire a single shot, there is a new aspect of war and how to go about things.
The war of technology can shut down a whole country more sufficiently then bombs or bullets.
Now this is some scary shit, this basically means if you got the best hackers and crackers in the world you can create a fire sale and in that way take command of a whole nation.
The aggressors pursue of war is to create panic and fear so people will subdue under a new regime or should I say dictatorship .

People need to wake up and smell the coffee times are getting tougher by the minute and let's hope that the American economy will get back on it's feet because we need the Americans, they are our days Roman empire and we are all a part of it, no matter if you like it or not.
I admire the Americans and the are the only continent in the world that has expanded and built up a nation to become the biggest super power in the world in less then 300 years.

U.S.A was built by settlers from all over the world it is our responsibility to make sure this continuous as it is the worlds legacy.

Some men and women like to create a world for you all to live in it and enjoy harmony and peace and some people just want to see the world burn...

Peace out

O.

This Fall we bring you...

My favorite perfume

Balenciaga and Miu Miu

Bottega Veneta and Louis Vuitton

Marc Jacobs

Miu Miu and Valentino

Yves Saint Laurent

Linda Evangelista for Prada 08

Chanel

Prada

Okay guys, you all know I have e weak spot for the previous generation of supermodels and one of my favourite models are as you probably know from reading my earlier posts the fabulous Linda Evangelista. She is doing the campaign for Prada this fall and I thought I'll share these pics with you guys. What do you guys think? I think she looks stunning but the pictures are a little bit to stiff for my taste though, since I love moment, I need to feel something when I see a campaign....I love her look but I think the photos could have been better.

I thought I share one of my favorite handbags which are simple and classic and that you can wear this next season without getting the cold shoulder or stuck up comments from "little cunt's," with daddy's black card and way to much time on their hands! (Pardon my french).

Braided hair is in as you know by now, what I like with this style is that it is easy to do yourself and it's cute. So go home and try it out!

The makeup for this fall is exiting and it's bloody hard to experiment when most girls I know anyway and boys by the way loves to stick to the same old safe cards.
But do try it's fun and what do you have to loose, if you end up looking like you belong at Mardi Grass so be it. At least you got noticed and had fun!

Smokey eyes can look great if you know what the hell you are doing but it can also make you look like a two dollar hooker if you are not care full, so go crazy but make sure the foundation looks good with your skin tone and don't wear to much. Most boys don't like to wake up next to girl wearing a war mask...so not hot!

Okay I love big shades, the main reason is that I've got a big face and small shades does not do it for me. I am more of an aviator model girl but I love these shades unfortunately they don't go with my huge ass face. But maybe someone other then me out there would look awesome in these shades from Chanel and Prada. The round ones are gorgeous.

Now to my favorite perfume, people always ask me what I'm wearing. Well you see I am obsessed with scents, I even created my own perfumes when I was a little girl. I love to wear something that is distinctive but feminine but not to sweet. I have to admit I wear men's cologne sometimes, I love it so strong and refreshing....I'm a perv I know, anyway "Rose essential" is my perfume , my boyfriend loves it and you can tell I've been in a room cause my scent follows me where ever I go, but not in a disgusting "I-sprayed-my-self-silly-way", no subtle feminine way.

It's like a trace of me...

Rose essential by Bulgari who have an amazing range of scents and hotels and jewelry are one of my favorite brands. This scent was created in 2005 by Beatrice Piquet of IFF and is gorgeous. I love the bottle I love the colour and I love the scent, so when you think of this think of me...Lol ;-)

Forget about it!

The real "Donnie Brasco" - Joseph Pistone, the guy in the left

Joseph Pistone from his real life undercover

IS IT WORTH IT?

The Mafia also known as the Cosa Nostra is as many of you know a Sicilian secret society and is the fancy name for organized crime in general. As I was snuggling up next to my boyfriend munching away on chocolate and candy bars preparing for a night of action I starting thinking of movies as Scarface,The Godfather trilogy, Goodfellas, Carlitos way and so on. I love Al Pacino and Johnny Depp and they made a movie, Donnie Brasco which is one of the best mafia movies ever made in my opinion, not only because they are such great actors, but because the movie is based on true events which makes it so much more fascinating.

I think it is absolutely fucked up, and I must say, you gotta have some balls to be an undercover FBI agent to infiltrate one of the largest mafia families  and stay under cover for six years in order to bring down about 200 people of the most dangerous families in New York.

This happened in the late seventy's so it's a long time ago, but these things shook up the Big Apple and keep happening all over the world at this moment.

To go undercover to become the opposite of what you know and was trained for must be one of the hardest things a human being can go through. To live under pressure and constant death treat and not knowing if you are going home alive or in a body bag and constantly being surrounded by the enemy like that, well lady's and gentlemen it takes big "cojones" that's all I got to say about that.

The real Donnie Brasco is named Joseph Pistone, and is a real hero, the "acting" he did for six years undercover is the kind of acting that never gives you an Oscar but saves lives.
Donnie Brasco is just one of these movies you never forget when you see them.
The most popular line has to be "Forget about it" but it's pronounced with a heavy Vice guy New York accent. And they probably say that line like a hundred times in the movie and it is hilarious every  time they do so. They are the anti heroes the vice guys as appalling  and fascinating, they are the true anarchist of our time, they don't have the rules that we obey, they make up there own rules. They have their own pride and moral and everything you do is for the family and if you don't obey, well we all know what will happen to those who don't....cement shoes in the Hudson river anyone!?

From the far east you got the Yakoza and they are one of the largest organized crime organisations in the world to the Triads in China to the Cosa Nostra, they are considered small compared to these two crime organisations. They all have one thing in common, they will do anything for power and money no matter what the price might be.
Soldiers of the dark side of or modern civilisation but you can't help as a by stander to become intrigued by all these violent actions and by the fact that people are willing to go to these extents to feel apart of something no matter if it's good or bad.

The organized crime syndicates are like multimillion dollar companies except their activity include lovely things like, drug trafficking, contract murders, money laundering, prostitution, gambling and other forms of racketeering. Another major income source these days are counterfeiting of clothing, computer and software etc. So next time you buy a fake bag you might reconsider, it might be a cheap price for you but it cost more money then you think.
Does child labour ring a bell? Well all I can say guys is that unfortunately real life and movies don't always go well together, real people get hurt and real people dies and this is something we all should try to change if we can and think twice before you by things that are fakes and copy's and ask yourself, is it worth it?

One more thing I just love this conversation in the movie:

FBI tecnichian (Nelson) - What's "forget about it?"
Donnie Brasco - "Forget about it" it's like if you agree with someone, you know like "Raquel Welsh is one great piece of ass" forget about it." But then if like you disagree like, " A Lincoln is better then a Cadilac, "forget about it!" you know? But then, it's also like if something the greatest ting in the world like Mingrios pepper's "forget about it."
But it's also like saying like "go to hell! too. Like, you know, like " Hey Paulie you got a one inch pecker?, and Paulie says forget about it. Sometimes it just means forget about it.

Keep informed and stay on the tracks.

Remember knowledge is power and it's what you choose to do with that information that makes a difference.

Why soo serious?!

Inner peace

Touched by God

Nirvana, it does exist

The devil, very much alive

Life is like a game of poker, sometimes you have a great hand and sometimes you just try to make the best out of it, hoping nobody is going to figure out that you got the worst cards ever.
Life has it ups and it's downs and I guess we need to go trough the tough parts to be able to appreciate the sweeter things in life, but it still sucks when it happens though...
I have done both good things and bad things in my life, but I do like to think that I have done more good. Every day is a struggle trying to make the right decision, trying to be less selfish and making the right decision both morally and righteous but it's darn hard...

Well it's just interesting how much crap you have to put up with in life and I am amazed when I think about my journey trough out life. Friends are a rare commodity and so is true love.
I have realized that nothing is free in life, you have to struggle and fight for everything from love to friendship, family, career and happiness.

But it's the struggle itself that makes it worth it, my life would be very boring and meaningless without it, though I have to admit that sometimes I wish," just like you reading this" it would be nice if it would be a little bit easier...if you catch my drift.

So what doesn't brake you, makes you, if you can still stand up and fight for what ever you be live in then that makes you a winner in every way.

I like to take walks it helps me clear my head and when I am pissed of about something or someone I go for a run, every step I take, well somehow it just makes me feel better.
It's like therapy and exercise combined in one...I probably sound nuts for saying this!?

Even at the darkest moments of my life what makes me pull my shit together are two things, I remind myself that it's not over until the fat lady sings and I take strength in God.
I believe there is a reason for everything even when bad things happen.

I am not a bad person I am just a good person that do bad things sometimes and so are we all.

I believe in good and bad as much as I believe in life and death. and it is sad to see people spending so much time being jealous and hateful towards other people, the biggest looser in such a scenario is the person spending their precious moments on negative things that will only end up hurting themselves in the long run.

Karma is interesting  I believe that what you do as an individual, that the good and the bad that comes from ones actions  will have a huge effect on your life, God knows that I have been exposed to both. I felt compelled to write what I feel right now and I feel calm though I am standing in the eye of the storm, I believe in good and I believe in myself and I believe in the people I love and cherish most.

I may be on the pursuit of happiness and when I say that, I don't mean that I'm not happy, just that I want to be able to feel happiness more often even when darkness surrounds me.
And I believe I'm on the right track to achieve that, it might take longer then I expected but it will happen.

I have always been my own toughest critic, never pleased with what I achieve and being a compulsive over achiever I realize that the only one I hurt is myself, I have to start loving myself and that is the hardest task I have ever been given. Will I succeed I hope so.
I use to be angry at the world, all this injustice and evil, sometimes I still am but I see things more positive then before and I try to take that anger and turn it to something positive this probably sounds like a cliche but I don't care, it's the truth.

Humor helps me through life, I laugh even when it's bad and then I cry. With out being able to see the funny sides of life I would have probably given up along time ago.

Life is not suppose to be easy it's like test from the All mighty and if you try your hardest and make the best out of it and learn from your mistakes then I am pretty sure you will succeed.
It is not religion that is bad it is the people that uses religion as a tool to receive power over others that are bad.

That's enough from the "Love Guru" Olinda today...

Peace out

Stay strong and laugh your ass of it helps!!

Hot Tamale...Dios Mios!?!

I know I should not complain, it's summer after all, but this heat is a killer!!!!
I love south of Spain it's close to Morocco and basically I can see North Africa's coast, but it's just so damn hot....It 's perfect when your on the beach with a frozen Margarita but when your working it's not as fun as you can imagine.

Anyway, I can't wait to see the new batman movie that is coming to Spain next week.
"The Dark Knight" with Christian Bale, the hottest actor in Hollywood right now.
This guy is amazing I mean his career has been skyrocketing lately. He did a superb performance in The Machinist and American Psycho, I love Bret Easton Ellis by the way, what a great novel.

The film critics where a bit harsh on the movie "American Psycho" though , it's bloody hard to put something so dark and twisted on the big screen without totally gross people out, I think he portrayed  Patrick Bateman well and he gave me the chills and I don't scare easy.
Heath Ledger as the joker, perfect choice, it's a shame he not with us any more, such a talented actor.

Mr Bale has a busy schedule, he is shooting Terminator right now and promoting The Dark night. And for the director Christopher Nolan the guy behind movies such as "Memento" with Guy Pearce which is a great movie that I would recommend if you have not seen it is a great director who we will probably see even more of in the future.

Terminator is going to be kick ass!! I think it will be out next summer or something...have to check it out.

I am going to the beach tomorrow so hopefully I get to play beach tennis and work on my surfing skills with my gorgeous boyfriend.

Til then folks

Have a hot and seductive evening and don't do anything I would not do...

The revival of the supermodel.

Fashion is about history repeating itself with some small new alterations.
The supermodel area is dead unfortunately, these days it's Jessica Simpson and Keira Knightley and God knows who on the cover of the top magazines most of the time anyway.

During the nineties we had Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford etc.
Model where what young girls aspired to look like and I'm talking before it all turned non fab and Kate Moss brought us the Heroine chic look, which in my opinion never was that attractive. All of a sudden young teen girls where going for that malnourished and
homeless look, yeah, that is really sexy, not!

Then the area of celebrity started and it was all movie stars and popstars, great only one thing they ain't models. To see Jennifer Lopez, who is beautiful by the way, trying to squeeze here voluptuous booty in to a size French 38, "well we all know it wasn't no 38" just ain't going to work.

Being beautiful and being a model does not necessary go together, since you need to look good in all angles and be pretty slim since the camera adds a few pounds an most of all you need to be photogenic and like a cameleon.

All of a sudden all I see it's celebs like Beyonce trying to look fa
shionable and it makes me pissed of cause it's putting models out of business. Fashion is more sincere when you don't know the name of the model wearing it since, you have a tendency to focus on the clothes more then the person. I don't want to sound to pessimistic but I miss when models where models, to day if you go to a casting you can't tell the bloody difference, since someone just that walked in from the street to ask for direction could be a model.

I am tired of seeing scrawny ass so called models who look as interesting as, well you just wanna flip the page. I think women should look like women and not like bony teenage boys with long hair. Bring back the supermodels and real good editorials with o
ut the celebs please.
I need my weekly dose of fashion but make it exiting again please.

One of my all time favorites is Linda Evangelista and I taught I'll give you a taste, a little a bit of Italian Vogue old school baby. Now this is a fashionistas dream come thru.
Compare it to the latest" it" model down below and see the difference folks.

Malnourished versus all woman and looking fab.
Now put that in your pipe and smoke it bitches cause that is to quote Tyra Banks "Fierce".
And one more thing, please feed the models!!!!

Linda Evangelista

The world got a crush on Obama!

So,they all have a crush on Obama, well, It's not hard to see why!
Barack Obama is phenomenon, whenever he speaks the crowds go crazy and news anchers are memorized and exstatic.

Obama has declared himself a nominee for the democratic party and he is the first Afro American to have a shot at becoming the next president of United States of America, which is a huge accomplishment and he is definately making history. McCain don't seem worried though which makes me wonder, either he knows something the general public don't or he is in denial.

Obama is like this force that makes you wanna stop and listen in front of the TV and McCain, well he makes you wanna fall asleep every time he starts one of his speeches.
As a European it's interesting to follow the American election since it obviously will have a huge effect on world economy and the financial market. As they say, the power of the mighty dollar makes the world go around, lately it's been all about the Euro though.

People want change and no matter how many teary eyed speeches we heard from Hillary Clinton nobody makes the slogan "change we can believe in"  a more powerful, sincere and less of a cliche then Barack Obama. The American election is so interesting to watch since everything so full of energy and passion. I have never experienced this kind of "I'm going to a rock concert" feeling in any other election then the American one.

Take for example England if you listen to one of Gordon Browns speeches in Parliament and compare it to Obamas's you feel like your watching  paint dry.
We need more youth in politics and people who speak to the people not the government parliament, I believe people in general feel politicians all over the world are corrupted and deceiving the public and not reaching out to regular folks. I hope we will see a European version of Obama soon since we are in desperate need of a massive change all over the world.
We need to change our world for the better and minimize poverty and violence and stop world hunger and injustice, we have to believe we can do that so we can make this world a better place for all people of all races. There is tensions between races in the US as much as in Europe and it would definitely help if people would stop looking at color and start looking at reality.

We are all different and that is beautiful so lets make the best out of it and embrace our differences and learn from them.

I am Indy!!!!!

Well Guys, I don't know about you,  but when I was a kid I wanted to be an archaeologist since I had seen Indiana Jones (all the movies about 20 times). I thought that it would be perfect for moi. Great adventures and exotic places, foreign languages and alluring treasures, what more can a girl ask for right!

I used to sit with the world atlas and look at the maps fantasizing about going to the mountains in Nepal or the deep and misty Amazons and used to pretend I was this female archaeologist always on the borderline of danger but with my amazing skills in "everything". I'd always escape at the right moment and save the tribes from evil and treausure hungry Nazi's or something.

Childhood memories... well, I thought that anthropology and archeology seemed so interesting.
That, my friends, was before I found out what an archaeologist really do, and I was sad to discover it was very far from my beloved Indiana Jones adventures.

I was doing research on how to become an archaeologist and discovered that it would first of all take bloody forever to learn all that history and I would have to specialize in one or two historic periods and learn ancient languages, I can't even learn Spanish!?

And then I discovered that I would spend alot of time digging like and doing tedious research to come up with a natural digging site and that may take months, even years!

What happened to my romantic and exiting adventures, well they went down the drain.
But no worries, I am happy with my life so it all worked out for the best, but I am still day dreaming sometimes, and the best part is that in my dreams is that, I am just like Indy, and it all works out in the end.

I was fortunate enough to see the latest of George Lucas and Steven Spielbergs  masterpiece "Kingdom of the crystal scull". My boyfriend Patrick surprised me yesterday with movie tickets to Indiana Jones and I was thrilled.

We bought some serious amount popcorn since my boyfriend Patrick is addicted to popcorn, he basically got to have a dose of that stuff like 5 times a week. I voted for some sweet candy and some soft drinks and off we went.

As we got to the cinema in Puerto Banus we had of course bought tickets for the English version since we don't speak Spanish very well. I must say with out revealing to much to those who have not yet seen it, that it was the perfect Indy movie.

The music was kick ass and the choice of actors were excellent and the story was classic, with a space twist. You got to give it to Harrison Ford, he is not bad for an old geezer and the effects where pretty damn good too, if you ask me.

So if you feel like a bit of adventure ,this is a movie I would recommend folks.

Enjoy

Work it out now, soul funk brother

Summer is approaching and I can tell people are getting the urge to work out a little bit extra since when I go for a walk at the beach down here in Marbella, Spain, you see people sweating and running like their lives were at stake.

I love trying on summer clothes but there is something I don't like about trying on bikinis.
Normally the chancing rooms are badly lit and you see your ass in angels you just don't wanna. I personally like those mirrors that miraculous makes you drop like two sizes and you look great. I don't mind buying into a lie! I have to shape up a bit and have been trying to chance my diet habits for the better the last month and been trying to move my ass a bit extra, and I am trying to drink alot of water since it does cleanse the body and makes my skin healthy.  It's bloody hard to drink 2 litres of water a day, I don't know about you guys but it makes me pee like a dog.

Well the last job I did was yesterday, a shoot on the beach and it was windy as hell and I was freezing my booty of. It's a campaign  for a restaurant and beach club chain.

I had the pleasure to work with y boyfriend Patrick who was the photographer and is doing the marketing and image campaign for them. So here is a preview, Enjoy!
